How It Works
Create an Online Profile: Candidates must create an Express Entry profile, providing information about their skills, work experience, and qualifications.
Receive a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) Score: Candidates will be scored based on their profile information.
Invitation to Apply (ITA): Candidates with the highest CRS scores will receive an ITA during regular draws from the Express Entry pool.
Submit Your Application: After receiving an ITA, candidates have 60 days to submit a complete application, including all required documents.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the FSTP, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Work Experience:
- A minimum of two years of full-time work experience (or equivalent part-time) in a skilled trade within the last five years.
- Experience must be in a trade listed under the National Occupational Classification (NOC) Skill Level B.
Job Offer or Certificate of Qualification:
- Applicants must have a valid job offer of employment for a skilled trade from a Canadian employer or a certificate of qualification issued by a Canadian provincial or territorial authority.
Language Proficiency:
- Achieve a minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) score of 5 for speaking and listening, and CLB 4 for reading and writing on a recognized language test.
Education:
- While there is no formal education requirement, having a high school diploma or equivalent may be beneficial.
Proof of Funds:
- Demonstrate sufficient financial resources to support yourself and your family after you arrive in Canada, unless you are already authorized to work in Canada.
