LMIA Based Work Permit

Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) is a document that Canadian employer may need to hire a temporary foreign worker. Employer needs to send application for LMIA to Service Canada office for the position he wants to fill. The LMIA approval shows that foreign worker is needed, where Canadian or Permanent resident is not available for that position/ job. It is also called positive LMIA. Based on this positive LMIA, work permit application is applied for temporary resident to Citizenship and immigration Canada.
